Organic Calendula Seeds

Organic Calendula Seeds
Even though Calendula is considered an annual herb, the calendula in my garden reseed themselves every year. The flowers are popular with pollinators and I see them often buzzing with native bees. Calendula is grown for its medicinal blooms and grows best in fertile, well drained soils from full sun to part shade.
Calendula blooms mid-summer to fall with yellow to orange blossoms that open and close with the sun. Calendula is easily grown from seed. Sow seeds in late spring. Plants grow 8 to 24 inches tall and require regular irrigation for best performance. Harvest flower heads when the plant reaches full bloom, and then dry the flower heads indoors. Save the dried petals to make calendula oil.
Each seed package is sealed with a wax stamp.
